Here is the complete process explained in simple steps:
Step 1: Create Your UKVI Account
Visit the official GOV.UK website.
Enter your personal details (name, date of birth, passport number).
Provide a valid mobile number and email address. You will receive a security code every time you log in.
Step 2: Sign In and Link Your e-Visa
Log in using your passport number, date of birth, and security code.
Once logged in, you will see an option to link your e-Visa to your account.
Step 3: Verify Your Identity
This is one of the most crucial steps.
Download the “UK Immigration: ID Check” app.
Take a clear selfie and scan your passport through the app.
Ensure proper lighting and no shadows for the photo.
In some cases, you may need to enter a connection code or scan a QR code to link the app to your online account.
Step 4: Complete Your Application
Log back into your UKVI account from a computer or laptop.
Fill in all required details such as contact information and security questions.
Submit your application.
Save your 16-digit UAN (Unique Application Number) for future reference.
Step 5: View and Check Your e-Visa
Once you receive a confirmation email, log in and view your e-Visa.
Carefully check your name, visa type, and conditions.
